My name is Jennifer Kennedy and I’m a wee shorty which is where the nickname WeeJenKen first arrived. It has followed me around for the past 15 years and now I wouldn’t be called anything else.

Welcome to my blog. I’m so thrilled to have my very own blog and website as this is something I have wanted to do for a long time and I’m so excited that I get to share it with you.

I’m from Scotland and I’m the proudest wee Scottish lass you’ll ever meet on this planet, I love my wee country. I currently reside in Nottingham with my boyfriend and hope to be back home soon as I miss it so much and everyone there but for now it’s us two, partners in crime.

I have three big passions…Food, Beauty and Fitness.

So how did this all come about I hear you ask. Well it all started due to a challenge. At the beginning of 2016 I was set a challenge by the other half. I had been yapping on for ages about how much I wish I could cook better and bake all my favourite things. So I was set the challenge to cook and learn a new dish every week of the year and it was called #52weeksoffood.

It was a year of learning, discovering new tastes, challenging myself, sharing my creations and screw ups. Most importantly I learned I could cook. I also learned that people liked my pictures and started asking me for recipes or to cook for them. I always loved to bake as it was something I did as a child with my Gran, but I didn’t realise how much I enjoyed cooking as well.

I originally wanted to create a blog so that I could share my tips and tricks for skincare. I’m a trained beauty therapist and I love to teach people about their skin and what products they should be using. I thought this would be a great way to share my knowledge and passion. I didn’t realise at the time though that it was my food that got people talking.

I’ve always loved fitness and trying to keep healthy but I wasn’t a very confident gym goer. Last year I got a personal trainer and pushed myself to beat my demons. I’m now physically fitter than ever, I’m more confident with what I see in the mirror and I have bootie which the other half seems to really like (squats work)!

I wanted to start this blog so that I could share my passions. I also wanted to show people that you can make delicious, healthy food in no time at all and on a low budget. I’m still on a journey of learning but I love every second of it so far.

I hope you enjoy reading my recipes and cooking them. They are tasty I promise.
